So I'm integrating this into my "read now" pile along with The Haunted Bookshop, that was put aside temporarily. Funny Sci-FI. It was a show on the BBC and I think I saw a snippet on YouTube, so I hunted down the book(s). Of course our mates across the pond are totally familiar with this one! ???...
JanuarieTimewalker13 True story: when I was a kid I had a jigsaw of the Union Jack ...I loved it, and I thought it was the American flag until I discovered it wasn't in probably kindergarten...oh I was so disappointed, until I decided..hmmm, I really like the stars, I guess I'll learn to love it! JanuarieTimewalker13 Wow! It just dawned on me that I'm definitely a product of the British Invasion...I was 5 in 1967...so there you go..we always had music on in my home (I still do). 8y

megt I read Red Dwarf earlier this year and really enjoyed it! I definitely need to track down more of the series and check out the show. 8y

Foxyfictionista @JanuarieTimewalker13 Definitely check it out if you can find it. Lister's Liverpool accent is the best! And Rimmer and Cat are fantastic physical actors. I want to watch it all over again now. It was so much fun! 8y

Foxyfictionista @JanuarieTimewalker13 They might if you live in a big city. I'd never heard of it until I moved to the UK (although I don't exactly have my finger on the pulse of arcane geekery). It's worth looking and maybe asking about though. 8y
JanuarieTimewalker13 @Foxyfictionista unfortunately, they don't have it and the complete series on amzn is about $69. I'll wait for awhile, and see what happens. Was there a Red Dwarf film? 8y
Foxyfictionista @JanuarieTimewalker13 that's a shame on both counts! I've only watched up to season 8 so I'm not sure what else is out there. There must be a way you can watch it. It's on the UK Netflix. I don't have the US version so you might want to check that. Hmmmm. I guess you'll just have to come over for a visit! 8y
JanuarieTimewalker13 @Foxyfictionista hahaha!! Yes, fly to London, and binge Red Dwarf. First I have to lose this cane I'm using bc this is the slowest recuperation in the world..PS..never faint, fall backwards and break your hip...now I have 3 pins and trying to relearn how to walk. So I'm sure I'll be setting off alarms to boot at the airport. I would love to see all of the U.K. One day! 8y
