A Graveyard for Lunatics
A Graveyard for Lunatics: Another Tale of Two Cities | Ray Bradbury
5 posts | 4 read | 9 to read
Halloween Night, 1954. A young, film-obsessed scriptwriter has just been hired at one of the great studios. An anonymous investigation leads from the giant Maximus Films backlot to an eerie graveyard separated from the studio by a single wall. There he makes a terrifying discovery that thrusts him into a maelstrom of intrigue and mystery -- and into the dizzy exhilaration of the movie industry at the height of its glittering power.

This was so bananas. Many of the references went over my head, but I think that's because this book was set in the 1950s, but published in 1990, and I read it in 2024 🤣🤣. Anyway, the story was beyond bizarre, but I could not put it down. Highly recommended!

And I got my #doublespin for the month! @thearomaofbooks

Cleared the #SeriesBingo for 2021 with the second volume of the Crumbley books. I managed to at continue or DNF many of my started series. Some I even got to finish! This challenge really motived me to continue reading on all my started series. Hopefully, it'll continue in 2022!

What a fantastic retelling of A Tale Of Two Cities! But don't worry, you don't have to know the origins of the story to enjoy this book. But you should be crazy enough to enjoy a crazy story. Hollywood is a mess. Bradbury just shows us how big this mess really is. I already liked the first Crumley book, but this one I loved. Most of the time I didn't know what's going on - and enjoyed the feeling of knowing where the story is going. Amazing!

TheSpineView Fabulous! I haven't read a Ray Bradbury book in years. 👍📖 3y
Jari-chan @TheSpineView Maybe you'll get to again at some point 😊 3y

Thank you for tagging me, @Texreader ❤ And sorry for being late - it's a busy time right now... 😅

1. One of the books I'm reading at the moment.
2. Hubby and me celebrating 10 years of being together 💖
3. People interrupting me... Like trying to talk to me. Or our neighbours screaming (again). Or TV noises.... Urgh... 😣

I'm tagging whoever hasn't been tagged yet, and wants to join in 😄
