I can see why this book is a story time favorite but for this reader it was just so-so. Owl gets up way too early and gets to experience Day for the first time. He learns how it differs from his night, and even gets shown new things by friends. The illustrations are cute, but not award winning.

Sadly I have never found cool duckling bookmarks, but owls are almost as good.

We didn't get to go to Scottish Festival today since it would be traveling another hour there, spending about 5 hours out, then another hour back, and we are exhausted. So, we did Kaysen's birthday coupon for B&N where she got her chocolate cupcake and she picked out these books and the penguin. She LOVES walking around the kid section of B&N.
