Bittersweet Within My Heart | 
I'll do a two-for-one post for #LyricalApril and #NationalPoetryMonth. Mary, Queen of Scots lost 3 husbands by the age of twenty-four, and was then arrested and remained a prisoner until her execution twenty years later. Her poetry touches on many of these upheavals in her life and is both poignant and lovely. #BittersweetSymphony

ValerieAndBooks I had no idea she wrote poetry. If it was ever mentioned in any thing I've read about her, it must have been just brief mentions. Will have to check this out! 8y
