Game wardens have found a man dead at a mountain camp-strung up, gutted, and flayed as if he were the elk he'd been hunting. Is the murder the work of a deranged anti-hunting activist or of a lone psychopath with a personal vendetta? Wyoming game warden Joe Pickett is the man to track the murderer and stop him before someone declares open season on humans.

Another awesome story by CJ Box!! This is #8 in his Joe Pickett series and I‘m not tired of these books or these characters AT ALL. This one involves a hunter vs anti-hunting activists storyline but as usual, there is far more to the story than just hunting. Joe and his falconer friend Nate continue to be exciting on the pages as they work the cases and catch the bad guys.

David Chandler narrates these audiobooks so well. I‘m such a fan!!

Jenken1998 Love Joe Pickett.. my hubs does to.. he kinda has a fangirl crush on a make believe game warden 🤣 5y

Nedny was a retired town administrator who now spent his time working on his immaculate lawn, tending his large and productive #garden, keeping up his perfectly well-appointed home, and washing, waxing, and servicing his three vehicles—a vintage Chevy pickup, a Jeep Cherokee, and the black Lincoln Town Car that rarely ventured out of the garage. #QuotsyMay19
