ENOUGH GAMES. Luke Garner is a third-born in a restrictive society that allows only two children per family. Risking his life, he came out of hiding to fight against the Population Police laws. Now, in the final volume of Margaret Peterson Haddix's suspenseful Shadow Children series, Luke inadvertently sets off a rebellion that results in the overthrow of the government. The people are finally free. But who is in charge now? And will this new freedom be everything they had hoped?

Freedom can be a scary thing when you‘ve been hidden for most of your life, like the 3rd born children who had no liberties since the government restricted families from having more than 2 kids. In this conclusion to the Shadow Children series, Luke inadvertently starts a rebellion which leads to government overthrow and the exposure of a decade of hunger, loss, pain, torture and death…

Did anyone else read these books? I finished the series over a decade ago, and I still think about it on a pretty regular basis. #TBTReads

LibrarianRyan All but the last 2 I think. I love that they are still popular. 7y

I have mixed feelings about this book... as much as I loved the others this one fell a little short for me. The entire series had such great character development and I felt that in this one all of the other characters were forgot about until the very end. It was still a good read and I am happy with the ending... just not as great as I wanted it to be!
