This was such a moving and emotional memoir. The author channels her grief through attempts to trace several rivers in Britain from mouth to source. In between she chronicles her attempts to deal with grief as well as her search for her birth mother. 💯

Bkwurm Wow, your review is so intriguing. I'm currently reading "The River Why" about a struggling, philosophizing fisherman. They sound remotely similar in theme. Thank you! 9y
