Revolution 2020
Revolution 2020: Love, Corruption, Ambition | Chetan Bhagat
Revolution 2020 by Chetan Bhagat Yet Another Grasping Work By The Bestselling Author Once upon a time, in small-town India, there lived two intelligent boys. One wanted to use his intelligence to make money. Another wanted to use his intelligence to create a revolution. The problem was, they both loved the same girl! Welcome to Revolution 2020, an exciting story about childhood friends Gopal, Raghav and Aarti who struggle to find success, and live in Varanasi. However, it isn't easy to achieve this in an unfair society that rewards the corrupt. As Gopal gives in to the system, and Raghav fights it, who will win? Revolution 2020 from the bestselling author of Five Point Someone, One Night @ The Call Center, The Three Mistakes of My Life and 2 States, comes another gripping tale from the heartland of India. Are you ready for the revolution? About The Author Chetan Bhagat's books have remained bestsellers since their release, and few have already been adapted into major Bollywood films. Readers' and Media accolades are unending. The New York Times called him the 'the biggest selling English language novelist in India's history.' Time magazine named him in the "100 Most Influential People in the world" and Fast Company, USA listed him as one of the world's "100 most creative people in business." Chetan Bhagat writes columns for leading English and Hindi newspapers, focusing on youth and national development issues. He is also a motivational speaker. Chetan quit his international investment banking career in 2009, to devote his entire time to writing and make change happen in the country. He lives in Mumbai with his wife Anusha, an ex-classmate from IIMA and his twin boys Shyam and Ishaan.

Late to the #20factsaboutme party and not quite as active on Litsy lately because:

1. I'm the father of a 3 year old and a 4 WEEK old.
2. I've lived happily all my life in a small town in the rural south.
3. I taught 5th grade for 9 years.
4. Now I work with gifted 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders at two different schools each day.
5. I developed my eclectic book and movie tastes largely in isolation.

Continued in comments...

TobeyTheScavengerMonk 6. Tor and Litreactor are my favorite book sites. 7. I used Litsy to catalog favorite quotes for like 3 months before I figured out that I could follow other people. 8. This is probably because I am not well versed in social media. Just Litsy and Goodreads for me. 9. Ender's Game is still my favorite book even if the author is a toolbag. 10. I had an essay about it published in The Authorized Ender Companion. (edited) 7y

TobeyTheScavengerMonk 11. I have always enjoyed memorizing. I can do several poems and a bunch of Shakespeare. 12. I guess it started in middle school when I memorized all the prophecy poems in Susan Cooper's The Dark is Rising books. 13. Knowing my new son was coming soon, I didn't undertake the #lotrchapteraday but oh how I wanted to. 14. I can recite most of the poems in The Hobbit. 15. Oh my gosh you guys this one time I met Neil Gaiman. (edited) 7y
TobeyTheScavengerMonk 16. Running out of steam here. 17. I could eat chips and salsa all the time without ever stopping. 18. I made a list of my top 200 movies. 19. The guy with the book has been my lifelong identity. 20. Um.... Litsy rules!!! 7y

Gezemice Congratulations on your newborn baby! That's exicting! And Ender's Game is also still in my top five, even though the author is a toolbag... 😂 Can I steal toolbag? It is funny. 7y
Moray_Reads I once spent a boring English lesson writing out as many poems from LotR as I could. The fact I was writing the whole time meant my teacher never realised I want listening 😂 7y
Redwritinghood Gee, I can't imagine what's kept you so busy the last four weeks! Congratulations on the new baby. 7y
LibrarianRyan Love it! 7y
Bookwormjillk I read that as a 3 week old and a 4 week old, and I was thinking hmmmm. 😐Congrats on your new addition! 7y
Smangela Love it! Haha :) I had to memorize Jabberwocky and the first part of The Canterbury Tales, but I'm pretty sure I couldn't do either in their entirety anymore! 7y
LeahBergen I like #7! 😆 7y
