This & the first book are my favorite in the series. I love seeing how the bonds between the six main characters grow stronger in this one, the religious & political issues heighten, and the world building significantly broadens.
Perfect installment in a favorite series.

pick⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ As with the first two books in this series, I really enjoyed this re-read! I remembered this book being my favorite but couldn‘t remember why, so rediscovering all its details made for such an enjoyable read. I think this is more romantic than the other books in the series, and unlike the other books, this lets us follow multiple characters throughout instead of only one. And, as always, Shinn‘s writing is fantastic.
