The final book in Mira Grant's terrifying Parasitology trilogy. The outbreak has spread, tearing apart the foundations of society, as implanted tapeworms have turned their human hosts into a seemingly mindless mob. Sal and her family are trapped between bad and worse, and must find a way to compromise between the two sides of their nature before the battle becomes large enough to destroy humanity, and everything that humanity has built...including the chimera. The broken doors are closing. I didn‘t end up loving the final installment, all the enemies & resolutions seemed rushed -some of them are so against characters prior behavior…while the beginning dragged. And honestly Sal did Carrie so dirty. I was fine with Sal not being a Strong Female Character (tm) but she became so unlikable.

Y‘all I knew I would love this book and I very much did. What a lovely lovely ending to this wonderful series. I love these funky lil worms so much.

I stumbled across this series at the start of the month and devoured all three books! This one dragged a bit and all three books tend to follow a similar plot structure, but they‘re easy to read and I like the sci-fi premise. Ending was tidy, but I didn‘t care.

I liked it. Didn't love it. Felt like the conclusion was a little rushed but it did wrap up. Still love her writing.

@JSW tagged me in the book color challenge so I chose to do white. There is something so aesthetically pleasing about a crisp white cover with red lettering! My fiance also wanted me to add our Killing Joke Joker and the little Lego he made of me to my picture! @ashesofhearts I challenge you to pick a color and take a beautiful picture!!

I really, really wanted to love this book. I adored Parasite, the first book in the trilogy, but sadly, for me anyway, the second two didn't live up. Oh well.

Things I love about this author: real life apocalypse concerns. Like how do you find bras when everything has gone to hell!

I love Mira Grant. And this series about sentient parasites never fails to give me chills.
