I‘ve read several books by this author and this is my least favorite. It just seemed a bit unbelievable.

This is my #bookspin for February @TheAromaofBooks

CeeCee walker is your typical 16 year old whom falls in love with what she thinks is a perfect older guy only to get involved with a kidnapping of a pregnant woman. When things go terribly wrong, CeeCee has to change everything about her life to protect the life of a baby she now has to raise. When life catches up to her, CeeCee must choose right from wrong even if it means loosing everything she fought for.

robinb Wow…that‘s quite the storyline! 😳 3y

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 💫4.5 Stars

Yet another amazing read from #DianeChamberlain. This one sucked me in immediately and was quite the page turner. I could hardly put it down. What was CeeCee Wilkes hiding?

The only reason I did not give a full 5 stars because I did not find the ending to be realistic, but I liked how it was wrapped up at the same time. #Mystery

I had 2 questions that kept nagging me while I was reading this book:
1. Why did Tim and Marty even need CeeCee to carry out their plan? It seems to me that they could have accomplished their task without getting her involved at all.
2. Does the author really want me to have sympathy for someone who took a child and kept her away from her rightful family for over 30 years? Surely she could have figured out a way to return the child to the father.

The beginning and ending were my favorite parts. A coming of age story with a touch of mystery, fit with my counselors mind. 4/5 stars!

Chamberlain's books on audio always keep me glued to Audible! This one was no exception- it was predictable but definitely engrossing! I thoroughly enjoyed listening! #AudioColoring

I only started this book this evening and am already around 3/4 of the way through. I have not been able to put it down. I am desperate to finish it, it is only the thought of how exhausted I will be at work tomorrow that is making me force myself to put it down and head to bed! A definite must read if you haven't already 😀

I am in the middle on this book. It definitely had an interesting concept and I enjoyed it for the most part. I just found it to be a bit unbelievable and too neat in the end. It needed to be more raw and messy and in parts I found myself getting bored. But, I am glad I stuck with it and would definitely give this author another shot with something different!

I honestly didn't expect this book to be as good as it was. I finished it in 3 days. It wasn't like what I usually read but really enjoyed it. It kept me guessing to figure out what was going to happen next. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I really liked this book. Think Jodi Picoult mixed with an episode of Cold Case. Who among us is the same person they were at 16? Should a decision made then change your life now? The dynamics between the characters felt realistic and was what kept me hooked on the story.
