I‘ve been looking for a new way to tackle my TBR and nail down what tropes work for me, so welcome to #TasteTest: Trope Edition. Please join along!

Excited to taste test some romance, mystery, thriller, fantasy, and even horror tropes. By nailing down my favourite tropes, I should be able to pick out books better curated to my tastes, and therefore have an increase in 5 star reads in my future. 💙

TheAromaofBooks Oooo I like this idea!! I'll have to think about a way to tackle it, though. Just for reference, a while ago I found this “challenge“ on StoryGraph that is actually just a spot to list books that fit specific tropes. So it may give you some ideas!!!

Clwojick @TheAromaofBooks there are so many on that list! I think I‘ll just choose a few for myself each month to focus on, and then try to find books with those tropes that also match other challenges I‘m doing. Might be the easiest way, instead of adding more books to my monthly TBRs, which are already out of hand lol 9mo

Larkken Neat idea! Ive been collecting this data in a disorganized fashion in my yearly books read spreadsheet, but I love the idea of actually looking at the data vs my ratings! 9mo

Clwojick @LiseWorks No timeframe, no real rules and definitely up for interpretation. Just make it work for you! I might change up how I do it in the new year, but for now it‘s super open. 9mo
