It was...just depressing. The few stories I enjoyed were cut too short before I could fully engage with the characters.
I really enjoyed this book. Even though I'm straight, those feelings of first love and being unsure of who you are and how to meet your parent's expectations were so relatable. I felt like a teenager again.

I'm pretty sure Karana is my hero. I can't even imagine the strength and level of sanity it took to live alone on an island for years, to watch people betray you and yet continue to trust them...
My goal for March is to read all 26 books on the top shelf of my bookcase...starting with the one pictured above!
