Attack on Titan, Volume 2 | Hajime Isayama

Pickpick

Attack on Titan, Volume 2 is the second novel in the long lasting manga series. In this particular book we find out that Eren Yeager (the protagonist of the story) has the ability to turn into the one thing he absolutely despises, a Titan. The mother of Eren died a brutal death to a Titan which is what causes him to lead his life with revenge. The question is, will Eren be able to control his newly found power, or will the strength of Titans

rene.saguin overpower him yet again? 3y
rene.saguin If you enjoy books that constantly leave you eager to find out what happens in the next volume then Attack on Titan is the series for you. Volume 2 is also a good book for those who love an excessive amount of action as there are many fights between people and titans and even titans against titans. Even the flashbacks that are showcased do not take the reader away from the story‘s action aspect 3y
rene.saguin The whole Attack on Titan series can be considered Action and Adventure (Character vs Supernatural) as there are an excessive amount of fights as previously mentioned. The same adventure of Eren finding out who he is continues and is very relatable to most readers as the targeted towards mostly teens and/or university students who still need to find themselves like Eren. 3y

Pickpick

Attack on Titan is a story about a young boy named Eren Yeager who lives in a village that is walled off from what is considered, “the outside world.” Humanity is walled off because of the deadly titans who kill humans in a gruesome way by consuming them. One day, the titans attack and end up leaving Eren with his own tragedy, the death of his mother. Eren escapes and over the course of a few years, he becomes one capable of defending others

Unfortunately, one wrong move causes Eren to be eaten, with his arm being the only thing left behind. This story is a series so is Eren truly dead or is this the beginning of a hero? (edited) 3y
rene.saguin If you enjoy books, specifically manga, that showcase a hero who has faced traumatic events and is extremely confident, then Attack on Titan is one to check out. The story leaves you on a cliffhanger, making you eager to find out what is next. Eren is a character who you can have sympathy for which is a unique connection between reader and character. 3y
rene.saguin I‘d say the theme of the novel is Action and Adventure (Character vs Supernatural). This theme is clearly present as almost every page includes some sort of action. The whole story is an adventure of a boy who wants to become one who eliminates titans. Attack on Titan is most definitely a “character versus supernatural” story because titans can‘t be considered anything but supernatural. 3y
MissYaremcio Nicely done Rene! 6/6 3y
