My lazy, rainy day.
Last time I read this book was in elementary school. It was refreshing to pick it up again as an adult! I love Anne's imagination and hopeful innocence. Her spirit is wonderful! This story unfolds beautifully, and I especially love the relationship between Anne and the Cuthberts. A timeless classic!
Going back to my childhood roots! Saw this sitting on my son's bookshelf, and thought I'd enjoy reading it on this rainy day. :)
I really enjoyed this book! I appreciated that the author was showing how we need both introverts and extroverts for a balanced and rich world. She goes through history to show the biases, using real stories and examples of famous introverts. There are also scientific & social studies to lend weight, without bogging it down. I recommend this book for everyone, either to be more self-aware or to know how to work with or love introverts better.
Starting this read for my Book Club! Being an introvert, and living with two other introverts, means this should be a good read. :)
