There's a lot of turtlenecks in this book. Too many considering it was published in 2011. Do people still wear turtlenecks?

Am I the only person on earth not to appreciate this? I tried to give it the benefit of historical context but gah! I just can't hack preachy books for kids. I wanted to love it. But I didn't.

Proper excited to have picked this up today.

Kidlit fell asleep. I kept reading. Loved it when I was 7, just as good now. ❤️
