I found the narrative good, but I have a problem with this book being marketed as "non-fiction," when it more closely resembles historical fiction. There's more historical accuracy on King Tut's Wikipedia page than in this book. The author also inserts himself into the story, which I find bizarre.
Mostly a comprehensive bio of Howard Carter, with excerpts from Ancient Egypt. 30% in. Very good so far.
