Beautifully written and so accurate.

I should pick up that mess but I'm going to start this book instead. This one looks fun.

I'm sorry to report that what started out as a pick, ended up only so-so. There were a couple of unforgivable errors, one factual and one syntactical, causing me to re-read each sentence (not in a good way). What started off promisingly lost plausibility as it progressed. The characters ring true though and in what I am finding to be her characteristic talent she paints a beautiful picture of the tragic nobility inherent in an ordinary life.

I am here for one book. One. Bel Canto. I am going to go inside, find my book, purchase my book, and leave. One. Book.

My husband brought this book home for me in the late summer of 2015. I read half of it and bailed. I took the morning off today to finally finish it. I can't believe I waited so long. It's so good!
