I forget when I got this book or where, but I've been looking forward to reading it for a month as it patiently waited for me. And then I read it so fast because I loved it (note the time of the photo)! It's a fast read, but full of really thoughtful questions, perspectives and examples of marriage and relationships. It challenges assumptions and one-size-fits-all thinking. is relatable and warm. It reminded me a bit of Emily Giffin's writing.

"I knew just being a girl in the world handicapped your ability to believe yourself."
I think this might be from Ch.14? Listening on Audiobook so I forget, but this quote from Evie's perspective really captures a lot of the gendered power dynamics in this book.

I really enjoyed this book, very fast paced and full of world travel and supernatural creatures and some neat twists. An exciting story. Written by a woman who attended the same university as me, UBC!
