Science Fiction is where my heart lies. It's a genre which simply works best in books.

Lucky is a boy on the run, trying to find answers but plagued with dreams. His adventure turns epic very quickly.

Phoenix has all the excitement of old style adventure stories - the type which led eventually to Star Wars - but it has so much more.

If this brings on a new wave of science fiction then I welcome it.

I love this book. Thematically perfect (who doesn't like chocolate) and filled with character, Lucas manages to cram a whole lot of story into the picture book format. Little Grendel loves chocolate (and so do we) but has to learn when enough is enough.

Never preachy or pompous, the book offers plenty of opportunities to speak and have fun with eager listeners before the very last twist in a rather surprising tail...
