Well, this book went above my expectations and it was so good. If you haven't picked this book up yet, then reconsider? The story follows both Laia and Elias, one a slave and the other a soldier. They're both trying to get something out of the government and they cross paths when Laia becomes the slave of the Commandant. Truthfully, if you're looking for an action book, this is for you.
