This novel was a great read👍🏻 We are introduced to two main character Lina Mayfleet and Doon Harrow who are given their jobs as a messenger and a job in the pipeworks. They live in the City of Ember but it is unlike any city. The cities lights are beginning to run out and the food supply is very low. The two of them must follow the map and escape the city to find freedom and the light. Will they do it ? I love books that make me wonder and

claire.talbot imagine other words. The point of view in this novel is primarily third person however, with the two protagonists third person omniscient is also present. 5y
claire.talbot If you like books that mention other words and underground cities then this one is a great one for you ! 5y

This book is full of many moments both emotional, romantic and extraordinary. The book is based on a true story that is a worldwide eye opener, and mine were surly opened wide! Hazel Grace is a young women who was diagnosed with cancer and must attend a group circle and meets a young man Augustus Waters. They immediately click and spend most days together. The ending had a lot of emotion due to the death of Augustus but the love does not die!#rlyg

MissYaremcio Well done Claire! I would have loved to see you talk about the motifs present and their meaning and a recommendation for the book. Your mark will be on PS shortly! 5y
claire.talbot The unlit cigarette, the swing set and Peter Van Houten‘s house were all present motifs in the novel. They all fall into play on how the story comes together and how they live their lives while very sick. I would 100% recommend this book. It is a great representation of fight and romance! 📖⭐️ @MissYaremcio 5y
