I LOVED this book. The settings, the characters, the writing style, the intriguing and exciting plot, time travel... all amazing. Claire is such a strong character and her relationships and interactions seem real. Outlander is definitely a historical romance, but the relationship between Jamie and Claire is deep, meaningful, built on more than the physical relationship, and delightful to read. Definitely romance, not trashy romance.
