Everything in the description of this book had me excited to jump into it, but in the end it wasn‘t for me. I found the writing sort of disjointed and half finished, despite the book being over 450 pages. As I get older I think most YA fantasy isn‘t for me, so I‘m glad I have this one a try.

All The Birds in the Sky had the right amount of fantasy and Wes Anderson quirk that everything just sort of meshed for me in a way that made me really love this book. I grew to love both main characters because of the way their friendship, was portrayed. For them it was the foundation for everything that came to pass and despite their story being minutely predictable, it was touching and heartwarming.
