One of the first (maybe the first) magic realism novels in Russian literature. Forbidden to print for decades, it was first published in Russian language in 90‘s, and immediately became a cult novel. I‘m reading it second time, after 20 years, and it reads differently. I think I feel Master‘s anguish more, and Margarita‘s terrible loneliness. But will see.. Only half way through.
