This book made my laugh with joy at some of the phrases and stay up well past my bedtime. I hope this author has many more books in their future.

This was a hard book to put down and I hated to leave the characters behind once the book ended. The author‘s acknowledgment opened with an explanation of the story‘s origin so I‘m glad to have read that as well.
I gave this book as a gift to a family member who kindly shared it with me and I am so glad that she did. This is based on the life of Nancy Wake, a British spy in France preparing for the D day landings. It is written as a historical novel and the author makes note of the liberties that she took with the retelling of this part of her life.
If you enjoy WW2 historical novels that touch on the women of the SOE this is a page turner. I also recommend Code Name Helene.
I‘ve enjoyed all of her books and can‘t believe Ive just discovered her in the last couple of years. This is a bit different from her science fiction, perhaps lighter in some ways, but a nice take on vampire legends.
This is a great read for just about anyone. It is written in an engaging and approachable way that references scientific work without immediately bogging down in details that can slow the flow. I now look at forests and trees in a different way and want to read more that would be specific to N American forests as the writer references work in European forests. A film based on the book is coming out soon.
I usually avoid memoirs in general and definitely medical ones but this was very nicely written.
Read this book as part of an online book club- hard to put it down once started. Recommend reading Passing by Nella Larsen also.
Although specific to the southeast and Florida in particular, it has many helpful gardening tips. It is a short and humorous read but did influence my future gardening plans.
