My ARC is heeeeeere! Kind of feel like it should be hoisted into the air while "Circle of Life" plays in the background.

This novel is a classic of the Cold War, and still feels eerily possible today. I love how this novel questions what it means to be human, and have responsibility both for one's self and humanity at large. Highly reccomended!
Rereading one of my all time favorites, plus some newbies from my expedition to the children's room.
This is described as a mix of Lilac Girls and The Nightingale. I loved both of them, so we shall see if this one measures up. #lakelandreads
Finally! Had to buy this book 3 times! 1st time paid for it and left it at the store. 2nd time ordered online and was lost in the mail. 3rd time was the charm. Really enjoyed this, Stephanie Thornton is great with whatever civilization she sets her novels in.
Really looking forward to all 800 pages of this! Has been on my TBR pile for far too long. Thanks #HCLC !
What would have happened if the Manhattan Project built the atomic bomb a year earlier, and we used it against Germany? Probably not what you'd expect. I had hoped this book would have covered the German atomic project, but alas, it did not. The book was very dense and I had a very hard time paying attention. (This coming from someone who LOVED Rhodes' The Making of the Atomic Bomb.) Still waiting for the great fictional book on this topic.
My current #quickread to decompress from the awesomeness of The Power.
Starting Neil De Grasse Tyson's "Astrophysics for People in a Hurry." On audio, of course, because NDT narrates it himself! #spacenerd #audiobook #publiclibrary
