I tend to read Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Steampunkish, and fun books. I like to mix a classic or two in and sometimes harder science based books.

I really enjoyed the second book in this series. We have the characters pretty much developed, so now it's time for deepening the story. It is a transitional book, so I would recommend reading them in order. I'm looking forward to reading the next in the series and experiencing more adventures with these characters.

I really liked this book. I look forward to reading more of the series. The characters were relatable and interesting. I felt invested in the story and enjoyed the ride. Picturing this world in my mind drew me in further as it is magical and steam punk with a bit of Egyptian mythology mixed in for good measure. There is love, comaradiriery and intrigue. Little slow to start, but worth it as the story ramps up.

SassyBookworm One of my favorite series!!! Hope you keep enjoying them!!! 6y

I enjoyed the book. I like early science fiction that looks forward to our present day. Bellamy has a utopian view of the future, possibly starry eyed. I like his imagination of a future society in which the goal is for all people to be happy. Love the idea of the pneumatic goods transfer system and the sidewalks with deployable awnings; drawing a mental picture that stayed with me. Not overly scientific, but I still very much enjoyed it.

If you enjoy a quick hit of nostalgia and old photos to bring you back to the era when the road side motels and attractions were king, then I recommend this book. I very much enjoyed it as I personally remember the tail end of the Howard Johnson's story. Also it has background information I never knew and found of interest. It is a very quick read and I found it very enjoyable.

I really enjoyed this book. I was not sure when I started it, but it is a good story with a unique "futuristic" vision and a steampunkish feel. It was a fun romp and a quick read.
