Started reading this book 5 days ago and I'm already half way through. It's a mammoth 720 pages but the story and characters are so intriguing, it's hard to put it down. If I didn't have to work & sleep & do other things, I'd have finished it by now.

Loving this book by Helen Garner so far. She writes beautifully and her creative nonfiction is filled with astute observation and gorgeous imagery. She can make the mundane seem wonderful. Can't wait to finish and review the entire book.
