It is about 8 girls trying to steal the love of Maxon and win over the throne. Maxon is the prince of a town. During the whole selection, the palace is threatened for an attack from the rebels The main character America is torn between her best friend Aspen(a guard at the palace)and Maxon the prince. She has mixed feelings for both but is in the selection to be chosen for Maxon.

I found it in the library and it seemed interesting.
It is about a 13 year old girl who goes through a sea voyage that has changed her life forever. She boards the Seahawk ship and is then ranked as one of the crew members. Her captain, Jaggery, accuses her for murder and is soon then found guilty. She goes through a life and death struggle but soon after is reunited with her family and is home safe.
