The first part of the book is a mess, boring and narcissistic. the political elements don't seem to gel with the love story. And the story isn't cohesive. But I got slowly sucked in by the sex scenes, which are ethereal, and the ending is divine, if a tad predictable and mushy.

Better than Fun House: less egoistic, more critical, and didn't take itself seriously as a good comic should be.
