Bonded with a coworker over books (💜‼️) so we decided to start swapping them. This is the first one she's lent me, and it's been great bed-time reading so far.

Short story books make the best bed-time reading since they're entertaining and fulfilling in short bursts. This one is particularly well-written and enjoyable, funny punctuated by moments of sadness, anger, chagrin, love. Highly recommend.

Had a lazy Saturday morning in bed with this book. Exactly what the doctor ordered after a crazy week. Easy and fun, like listening to a friend's stories over brunch.

Erik Larson is often my author of choice when flying. I think it's because his books are engrossing and accessible no matter how many times my reading gets interrupted.

I loved this book so much it deserved a second post. I can't say enough good things about it. It's an important story well told, and simply put, it's one memoir that is an absolutely necessary read.

I can't overstate how important this book is. It will shake you up and wring you out, and if you're not yet interested in criminal justice reform, you will be.

Made 3 trips in 2 days to Green Apple Books in San Francisco. Purchased 4 books, and this is the one I've picked to keep me company on my flight back to DC.

Excited about my World Book Day purchase, and went to the reading, to boot. Rebecca Traister is so bright, sharp, funny, and approachable. Ready to read this cross-cultural (and historical) book about how unmarried women have and will shape America.

I find books of essays or short stories make great nighttime reading. They're thoroughly engaging but their organization means that you can read small doses and still feel satisfied, and you come to stopping points easily. Excited for this one.

In honor of women's history month, this is a must read. "Feminism is, of course, part of human rights in general–but to choose to use the expression human rights is to deny the specific and particular problem of gender."

Lauren Groff's prose in Fates and Furies is gorgeous and I love the dialogue. Highlighted so much on my Nook. This one has been in my head since reading it last weekend.

Remarkable telling of a, by many standards, unremarkable life. The prose is exceptional–Williams's writing is precise and beautiful. The characters are fascinating, the plot excellent. A must-read that will leave a deep impact on you.
