Yet another Robin Hobb book that has made me cry - she's so good at making you empathise with Fitz, and when something actually genuinely good happens to him, it tips me into a flood of tears for him. An awful lot of the bad stuff that happens is of his own making, so it's wonderful to have the positive payoff every now & then. This installment of his & Fool's journey together is much more gripping than the first installment of this trilogy.
