Stunning book. It has funny bits, it's extremely emotional at bits, you can feel intimacy and compassion towards the characters. As usual, Patrick Ness always keeps elements of surprise here and then. Just read it, you'll understand! 9/10

Based on a recommendation. Reaaaally good book. Gives you an insight about the way an autistic person thinks. Fast paced and some parts of it are hard to keep up with, but this is the whole purpose of the writing style because it disturbs your brain with random information, exactly like how an autistic person would think. Very good book, 8/10. Solid pick!
Here is the thing. If you need to test your patience, read this book. Slow beginning, sure. Lots of boring parts, inevitable when talking about a couple of old people. But as soon as you start reading the flashbacks, be sure that you have started reading the good parts. If you have been advised to bail on it, don't. Keep reading it until the very end.
One of my all time favorites (this whole series tbh). This book is full of twists you wouldn't expect ever. The idea is very original, Patrick Ness is a brilliant author. If you're reading that book, don't you dare give up on it. 9/10
This book is dreamy and very emotional. It has a grim atmosphere through it, but you can feel the catharsis induced as well. Tears may happen, depends on you 😝 Great book though, recommend to everyone. 9/10
Long book, but sooo worth it. The character development is great, very interesting plot line. Gives you an insight on the power of the church in the middle ages, and really makes you want to visit a cathedral. The book descriptions are accurate, a lot of architectural descriptions especially. 8/10
