For anyone in the USA I feel this is a must read because of the turmoil of the recent election. Not just because of the results but because of the struggle between who to vote for. Reading this I could easily relate the situation our country is in power struggle wise, to how Marx explains the systematic power struggles and revolutions of the bourgeoisie. Because we are part of one, but it should be noted it has also come full circle.

After reading this I actually could not sleep for weeks. Because of this the horror got passed around my grade and some kids convinced themselves they would do the same things as the characters in the book. It's spooky.

I read all of Levines fairy tale adaptations when I was little and the two THE stuck with me the most were The Two Princesses of Bamarre and Ever. Ever is the most romantic.

A quick read but a fav. Classic tale of heroism.

Best childhood memory ever. Me and my friends made a game of the story line and the fights over who would be addie were so over dramatic.

If the movie wasn't already quotable enough the book is so much more.

Thinking back to this book is like thinking back to an ex-lover. Bittersweet and over romanticized. However not quite something you yearn to have back.

This series is short, but it's impossible to put down. It's full of comedy and it's almost satirical. It's every vampire obsession phase fantasy and it's great!

Started out incredible. The entire series remains realistic however I could not bring myself to finish it it made me so angry.

This is a classic fairytale that does not get the credit it deserves. C'mon Disney. Time to make this a hit movie.

The scariest thing about reading this book today, is when it was written it was complete fiction; but today almost everything is a parallel.

We all know Tim Burton tells great and imaginative stories, from his movies. This book recalls the same features as Vincent, and is very fun to read.

This is the Christmas Carol, but for Halloween. Every October growing up my brother, my mother, and I would gather round and listen to my father read it. Full of great lessons and history, and one of my best memories.

I read this in one day at my schools library while skipping algebra. It's a classic and must read.

While it is incredible writing it is graphic and emotional. Reader discretion advised.

Rimbaud is my idol in poetry, he mastered prose without straying away from the soul of poetry. Illuminations is possibly the most light hearted of all his collections, but it is still very moody. Illuminations is a must read for anyone being introduced to Rimbaud, and I suggest reading the originals in French for the full meaning to be conveyed.

I read this book my sophomore year of high school and it changed my life. Never before had I been introduced to the world of humanities the way this book explained it. I always recommend it and while it is a slightly daunting text it was my guide to everything I have read since and is worth at least flipping through.
