I listened to this on audiobook and really enjoyed it. I did have some issues with the narrators voice at first (she made the characters really whiny) but I got used to it.
This is a historical fiction set during WWII but it's more about how Ada, who has a twisted foot, escapes her abusive and neglectful mother and finds a place to discover the world and her worth. It was overall very touching.
