I didn‘t get why the MMC loved the FMC. Like, what had she done besides being a witch? I just didn‘t believe their love story…it didn‘t reel me in. Absolutely gorgeous cover art tho!

It had everything to make it right, but it lacked sparkle and…agency for the female main character. The men were such “he men” I just couldn‘t.

It‘s wasn‘t baaaad. But it wasn‘t goooood. The story drags and the characters are flat. Even using well known archetypes, sages, mages, saints, gods, prophecies, etc….the story had all the ingredients to be compelling—but just wasn‘t.

I was **gripped**. I could not put this book down, stayed up till 1-2 am reading.

I didn‘t know what to expect, but it was a heartfelt romance, and while there were explicit scenes, wasn‘t “daddy smut.” It‘s heart wrenching and heart warming. I was crying at the end for the HEA I couldn‘t have predicted. Will be reading more by this author.

This is monster smut plus a tycoon romance plot with a very sweet FMC. Story is…dragon shifter meets girl while in heat, knocks her up, the man part of the duo is NOT on board.

There‘s a lot of care in this book between the MMC and FMC, when he isn‘t being a total ass. We almost immediately get forced proximity and bodyguard vibes. Very hot and heart wrenching with their backstories. Also: creative anatomy. Enjoy…

Ignore the weird cover art.

It‘s a short, spicy read. I love monster romance, and all of the interesting activities that entails…but I loved even more than this had very low angst. The protagonists warm to each other quickly without it being instalove. I enjoyed how honest their communication was. The FMC deserved all the comfort she got. I wanted to just snuggle up with her.

It was too short, but hey, there are more books in the series.

I feel like Elise Kova just isn‘t hitting her stride with this book. I didn‘t believe the insta-lust with Evander, or the chemistry between him and Faelyn. 55% in and hanging in there…
