A book about a lost book! To clarify....a reader is so obsessed by an author and his iconic hero that he murders the author when the hero doesn't live up to his ideals. He then steals the unpublished writings, hides them away. A boy finds them, then finds himself the subject of the newly released murderer, who comes looking for his stash. Not much spookiness in it, only hints of darker depths, explored in the last book. Yummy!

Although it took me a little while to get the hang of it, moving between when the little girl vanishes, the lead up to it and the aftermath.....I found it gripping! And the ending.....I kept on thinking about the others who had died in the book and how.....

Started off a bit slow, but picked up about three chapters in. Who is the girl with the baby? And why is she being interviewed by the police after a well meaning lady took her in to her family? What has she done to them?

Currently reading this! We live on a narrowboat ourselves so am following their adventures quite closely. Shane speaks to you, you feel involved. Definitely a book for canal enthusiasts!

Absolutely loved it! Flowed really well, could hardly put it down.
