The three greatest things in life: a good book, tea, and a fluffy cat
Currently counting dots on my ceiling. I‘m at 117. This came to mind
Continuing on with my vampire thoughts, I feel I must remind everyone of the great Wuthering Heights reference in Eclipse (especially given the entire series is greatly inspired by this fantastic classic)
It‘s been a while but I just randomly start thinking about this book again. It is poorly written and revolves around vampire love in a mundane traditional sense. Yet, it is wonderful as it takes some radical turns and makes little to no sense at times. It is quite possibly one of the most messed up and perplexing books I have ever read (mostly in that it is unexpected) but is also one of the best, worst, and most memorable.
I hate this book. It is the only book that has ever made me fall asleep. It was excruciating to read, taking 3 months. This, however, is probably less of a reflection of the book itself and more so a personal failure to adapt to different genres. I don‘t believe there are “bad books”, just specific audiences. This audience being those with insomnia. That being said, I have decided to give it another go.
People just don‘t throw parties like they use to. Things only 17th century kids will remember.
Saw this and wanted to leave it here as a reminder of how incredible Hester is
It‘s 4 am and I can‘t sleep because I‘m still wondering why Dickens decided to call Northampton “Mudfog”. This may be the epitome of looking outside and using the first two things you see as inspiration. I encourage anyone who sees this to make up a town name based on two items you find. My town is “Treestar”
Recently picked this up at Stone Soup in Camden Maine this store is heaven!
