How can one love a book full of so much heartbreak? I don‘t know, just that I do.

I found this at one of those shelves in the airport you can leave and pick out books. But I don‘t think I will be able to leave it behind. It‘s one of those gems that you wouldn‘t say was a great book, but still just moves you so much as you read about everyday life in a time long gone. It will stand on my shelf beside «How to kill a mockingbird» by Harper Lee, two little gems I will enjoy from time to time in years to come.
It‘s a lovely book and I really enjoyed reading about the everyday life and their adventures. But even though I feel I have a good grasp on the english language, I feel this book would be better enjoyed if I was a native english speaker. The details of the birds and wildlife in Australia was a bit wasted on me since it was so much I didn‘t understand. And as I read this on a beach in Lesvos, Greece I didn‘t have Google translate to rely on.
