This ( the Audible version) is not a book that you can listen to while doing the dishes or folding laundry. It requires total concentration, and frequent backtracks ( I even changed mine from 15 seconds to 60... you‘ll understand why if you listen to it) to get total understanding of the concepts. For that reason, I am taking much longer to get through this wonderful story. Best part: hearing her recorded voice giving talks...Gives it LIFE!

I am putting my thoughts here, speaking for the entire series: Each is wonderful! I have finished all the published volumes - and now just grab each new one as it comes out. I have read some and listened to others on Audible..... frankly, although I do enjoy the reading, the audibles add so very much that I now use it only. The narrator, and the pronunciation of words, adds SO much! I have a much more vivid image of each vignette.

Loved it! I am not Scots-Irish, but have an aunt that married into a family of this type. The portrayal was for the most part spot-on. This author has risen far above even his own expectations, and is a monument to the possible. And as and end note: May the Good God bless the counselor that set him on this previously unattainable path. If not for that counselor, who showed him unexpected possibilities, this book would have never happened.
