Really liked the premise of the book. I was interested and invested throughout the book. My only complaint is that there were a lot of super technical medical terms I was unfamiliar with that did not have explanations inside the text. Googling the meaning forced me out of the story. Can't wait to read the next one!

Thankful for my local library today! Without them I'd be nursing an ear ache without a new book!

I normally do not read thrillers or mystery novels, but recently I have been opening up my reading interests. I genuinely liked this book, I felt that the characters felt relatable, their interactions were believable and I really liked the twist reveal at the end. My only complaint is that some of the loose ends didn't feel tied up properly, and one of the characters is called by 2 different names throughout the book. A solid enjoyable read.

I didn't know this book was part of a series, but I'm so glad it is! I really liked how Child paired a thriller with paranormal aspects so seamlessly. I'm definitely picking up the other 4!

Really liking this book so far. Picked it up today because I wanted a change of pace, and I love the setting!

Didn't think I'd be crying my eyes out like a small child over this book but here we are. I've experienced emotional trauma at the hands of a paperback!
