My Lifeline bookfest haul 😃 I practiced true restraint this time around! Already excited for the next bookfest in June !😶
so-soThe more I read this book the more I found myself emotionally invested in it. The first third was rather hard for me to enjoy due to its setting (in the 60's). I loved how a single action by a father ripples through everyone's lives. The ending was, by far, my favourite part.
so-soSuch a promising start but fizzled at the end for me. I wanted justice for the family and the ending left me unsatisfied. The strange body swap sex scene at the end was a bit strange for me too and I'm normally quite open to alternate stories.
