The Vixen | Christi Caldwell

The side effects of reading The Vixen include:
*Feeling angry
*Crying like your life is over
*Cheering so loudly that your husband and cats look at you like you have lost your mind.
*Upon completion, stare in to space completely exhausted!

Don't contact your doctor, you are just entering the Christi Caldwell Book Hangover, you will be fine by the time the next book is released!

The Vixen is an amazing book! Which is why I give it 5 stars

Even though I struggled with the characters, I did really enjoy the verbal sparring between Jake and Fliss. But I found the book to be a little jumpy in parts; I really struggled with a scene where Jake is pouring his heart out to Fliss, and the next thing, they are heading to bed together, with bare minimum of consoling, and that was just one part I struggled with.... even though it's a good book, it doesn't inspire me to read the series now.

I will be honest with you all, that this has been one of the toughest reviews I have had to write in the longest time, because there are so many amazing parts to this book, I am scared to death that I'm going to accidentally reveal something and spoil the story. But if I can give you one piece of advice about this book…BUY IT NOW! Because everyone in the world needs to read this amazing story!

I give Lovers at Seaside 5 stars!

I'm delighted to be reading this beautiful regency duet from two of my favorite authors Tessa Dare and Christi Caldwell. Now these books are not linked in any way, but they both are heartwarming rogue tales, that are sure to leave you smiling.

The ultimate regency Bro Code book, I give His Bride for the Taking by Tessa Dare, 5 stars.

Such a perfect story from Christi Caldwell! This is why I give His Duchess for a Day 5 stars

Fighting for Everything is an amazing first book for this new series, from the get-go you cannot help but fall in love with all the characters, but I will admit I have a soft spot for Mo, and I hope we see a lot more from him.

I give Fighting for Everything 5 stars!

The writing and plot line for this book, was enchanting and refreshing, I don't think I have ever read a book where, ex step-siblings fall in love, or the "wicked step-mother" was truly repentant! It was such an unusual spin, but I throughly enjoyed it.

I give Forbidden Kisses 5 stars!

When it comes to the writing and plot, it is truly everything you have come to expect from Laura Kaye; well written and researched, characters that provoke emotion and a storyline that you can't kept getting wrapped up in.

With all that being said, I give Ride Rough 4 stars!

Walk of Shame | Lauren Layne

To say I love this book might just be an understatement, the plot is almost Cinderella like, but rather than needing saving from poverty and hardship, Georgie wants to be loved, for exactly who she is, and damn it! This book reduced me to tears, but then I tend to when reading a Lauren Layne books, as her writing is just SO beautiful.

After all that gushing, there is only once score I could give this book...5 stars!

I haven't found a character as fun as sweet Arabella, in a long time. I will admit to Nash annoying me though!
I really could go on and on about the storyline & the writing and retell the story under my own interpretation, for hours, but instead I'm going to recommend that you buy this delicious book & savor it for yourself, by giving it 5 stars!!

Possession | Jaimie Roberts

This book blew my mind and I was addicted from the first page, and though I hate flashbacks, they fit perfectly with the story. The characters are equally endearing and vile! Evelyn character, despite only being 18, is mature for her age. Drake is a tougher character though, you want to hate him, But you can't! And towards the end you even have sympathy for him.
With that being said, I could only give Possession one score...5 stars!

I have never read any of the Sanctuary Island series and boy, did I not know what I was missing out of! The story was heartwarming and thrilling and I really wanted it to last forever! The characters were excellent and I absolutely loved Miss Patty! But I will say Johnny and Theresa's story stole my heart!
Close to Home is a beautiful love story, that warms your soul, which is why I gave it 5 stars!

So I'm thrilled to be reading my second Sanctuary Island book, and I should really go back and restart the series, but I have to say that you could totally do what I have done and pick up any of them, as they are stand alone books. The author has managed to spellbound me with her beautiful writing and enchanting storyline; Lily Everett has quickly become one of my favorite authors of 2017!

I give Home At Last 5 well deserved stars!

And go through the emotional devastation that Zoe, Joe, Rusty and Sean go through! And I will tell you all now!! I'm desperate for Rusty's full story!

I will say this from the get go, Lori Foster knocked it out of the park with Hard Justice! I also loved seeing the old crew from her past books, but also meeting more characters from the Body Armor Agency.
The chemistry between Justice and Fallon was delicious and I loved the way that Fallons father had to grovel to Justice after his ridiculous firing. I honestly can't wait for the next book!
I give Hard Justice 5 stars!

I was thrilled to be reading another of Annie Rains books; She writes tear-jerker books that manages to feel your heart with love, and that is why she is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors!

I absolutely loved all of the characters in the book, but Ben totally stole my heart! He is such a brave little boy and such a inspiration!
Welcome to Forever is a beautiful story of second chance love and taking a risk!

This book moved me in MANY ways; our hero was honest about his pain killers addiction and PTSD and our heroine battled to free herself from physical abuse and the long lasting after effects and then eventually manage to stand up for herself, which is a huge feat in and of itself. I loved the way that Colbie and Zander needed to save themselves before they saved each other! The other characters in this book were equally amazing.

I love Luna's character, she is a tough women, with a soft heart; she will do anything for her friends and she has proven that.

Now I'm I'm aware that this is a book, and not real life, but seen as there where 20,300 REPORTED sexual assaults in 2014, according to the US Government, clearly this is an issue that should get more awareness, and I applaud the author for choosing this subject and to highlight the injustice these people feel.

The writing was fantastic and the plot wonderfully heartbreaking. 5 stars!!!

The writing was smooth and delicious and the plot was gripping and full of twists, though I would like to know more about the fall out between Harper and Reid's parents. I think the only draw back for me was the many names the characters. 5 Stars!

Defender | Diana Palmer

I'm a huge fan of Diana Palmer, but I think this is one of the toughest storyline I have ever read. I won't fool you, the violence is graphic and left me in tears. But it honestly didn't make me turn away from the story, as the plot was well researched and the story well written.
Defender is a great book and although it's a more gritty Diana Palmer book it's one that should not be missed.

I give Defender 4 stars.

The writing is detailed, clean, smooth and everything I have come to expect from Maya Banks. The plot is well thought out and detailed and I think the author has managed to capture the true human nature of the public, with how they treat Eliza's character, even though she was just a teenager when this happened to her.

I have to say that is is one of my favorite Diana Palmer books ever! Yes I'm sure that to some people the storyline might seem a little old fashioned, but that is the truth in some parts of America, even where I live; and hey, what is wrong with things being a little old fashioned! So if you want a sweet story, one that core is about love, without the silly head games, this book is for you!!
