pick“The Glass Castle” is a touching book about Jeannette Walls and her journey of childhood and almost unbelievable experiences. Jeannettes father is a heavy alcoholic which gets in the way of the entire family and her mother is a teacher that doesn‘t like to teach and would rather chase after her dream of being an artist than be an actual parent.
Austinbelcourt Jeannette also has 3 siblings her older sister Lori who is quite easily a genius her younger brother Brian who is very capable with his hands and her younger sister Maureen who was always off with other family‘s. If you like books that are based off of true story‘s that make you feel fortunate for living a normal life then Glass Castle is the exact book you are looking for. 2y
Austinbelcourt The point of view the story is told in is first person point of view and is established as you can tell she has a bias as someone would have been more critical to the living conditions if she was not the one telling the story, also the fact that the story is a memoir 2y
