This is not just another post-apocalypse girl loves guy book. In fact, the reviews and summaries were SO deceiving, I kept thinking I was reading a different book. Really. BUT... If you take this book and think it is a simple story, it reads like a good John Hughes movie. Predictable but delightful.

More meaningful than people say, The Kite Runner challenges you preconceived notions of society, war, servant leaders, and most importantly, the honesty required to admit your sins and change.

Although a slow midsection, it definitely kept my interest with its witty insults. I think we all have an Ove in our lives.
