This has honestly been one of my top fives ever since I picked it up two years ago. It's a wonderful, heart wrenching story of a little girl with the ability to heal others, but at a steep cost. This book, to me, is about the struggle between doing the right thing/the better thing at great personal cost and have the potential to change the world, or to sit by in self-preservation feeling helpless. Prepare to cry like I did.
