This weeks read!
It's been too long since I've read one of these! #blackdaggerbrotherhood #vampire
Was worried it was going to be a bad mix of Terry Pratchett and Jasper Fforde but it ended up holding its own and I loved it!
Trying to enjoy my book and a cuppa but getting harassed by this guy...
Most definitely a pick! Loved everything about this, right down to the well researched Celtic pantheon. But i think that i most loved the mental conversations between Atticus and Oberon, these really did make me laugh out loud, gaining me many a funny look whilst on the bus 😁
Been meaning to read this for years, hoping it will help get my reading mojo back!
Entertaining but formulaic story that often read as a travelogue rather than a novel
Loved everything about this, so many layers if you want to delve deeper.
fun read that was very relaxed in style, like a good friend recounting their adventures. Pokes fun at a lot of genre tropes but was engaging and made me chuckle.
One of my favourites, was great to reread after many years. Found that I was seeing different angles and themes now that I'm looking at it from an older point of view. Even bought a brand new hard cover to celebrate a rekindled love.
A retelling of the story of Theseus, who I knew mainly for his dealings with the Minotaur in Ancient Greece. This time his story was told in a more realistic and human way without the glamour of Greek gods being involved, which took some if the shine away for me. Interesting to read about the more matriarchal cultures he encountered though.
As a new Litsy Android user, who had been waiting for this for this app for ages, I thought that I would be all over it but instead find myself joining whilst in the middle of reading the book that never seems to end! aaaarrrgggh!
