This is when the boy focus of the Trebizon books really kicks in. I didn't mind this because it's realistic plus Rebecca is always so much more than the boys she is romantically interested in. Always her own person.

The British Empire underpinning was uncomfortable, as it so often is and absolutely should be. However, the underlying story, the characters and the descriptions were great. I really enjoyed it.
