This well-known P book written and illustrated by Theodore Geisel aka Dr. Seuss is a timeless classic that students love! The Cat in the Hat is about a crazy cat who pays a visit to Sally and Sam while their mother is out and he has a few tricks up his sleeve, but somehow this crazy cat ends up teaching the children a very important lesson. This is great book for PR and can be used in a lesson on poetry or a lesson about Dr. Seuss. #ucflae3414su30

It helps students with poetry, identifying rhyming words and it also includes standards; super helpful! (edited) 4y
DrSpalding Not all books that rhyme are considered poetry. Knowing that the cat in the hat does things that are out of this world, this is better categorized as modern fantasy. 4y
